Our team supports the audio visual and computing technology used in teaching spaces, including timetabled teaching rooms and lecture theatres.

Desktop, Laptop & Mobile Devices
Our Service Desk and Client Technology Support teams provide over-the-phone and in-person support for all University-owned computers, laptops and mobile devices (tablets and smartphones), and will assist with resolving any issues you may experience.
We will procure any hardware and software you need and can keep you up to date with any projects underway or emerging technologies that may assist or impact you.
We manage the annual desktop renewal programme and take care of the recycling and disposal of old ICT equipment.

Email, Messaging & Calendars
We provide and maintain email services for staff and students. University staff can use Microsoft Outlook or Gmail for email, calendar and instant messaging services.

ICT Procurement
We procure software, laptops and desktop computers, and ensure you have access to purchase ICT consumables as needed via our partnership with PB Technologies. We manage the annual computer renewal programme for desktop and laptop computers used by staff and in teaching/computer labs and ensure all software is appropriately licensed, and our assets are managed appropriately.

Security
We constantly monitor our networks and systems for potential security breaches or concerns. We provide information and expertise on information security matters, ranging from advice on dealing with a spam email through to investigating and analysing serious incidents.

Systems, Networks & Telephony Infrastructure
We provide and administer server and data storage infrastructure in specialised, secure data centre facilities. We run an efficient, centralised file backup service for the wide range of servers as well as the secure network file-sharing solutions. We also provide robust network infrastructure across the University, and provision telephony services in support of user requirements.
