About ITS Administration Services
ITS Administration Services encompass administration, finance and ITS reception and telephony services for the University.
ITS Financial Administration
ITS Financial Administration is responsible for the provision of financial and administrative support to business units within ITS. This includes recharging of ITS services, payment of invoices to suppliers and administrative assistance such as travel arrangements, general purchasing and records storage.
Our telephonists are the first point of contact and provide full telephone reception services for many visitors contacting the University of Waikato by phone on the main University number (07) 856 2889.
The volume of calls received is approximately 18,000 per month. This equates to 120 calls per hour, or one call per telephonist per minute. Calls vary from those requiring information about University events and services; to students wanting course information; to requests to speak to specific staff.
The telephony services operate 8.30am – 5.00 pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Any calls or enquiries outside of these hours are answered by a voice message service and responded to on the next working day.
