About The Information Systems Group
Who we are, what we do, our values
The Information Systems Group (ISG) provides project services
comprising the selection and implementation of off-the-shelf software
solutions to business needs, bespoke development of software solutions in
response to specific business needs, as well as second and third level
support for corporate systems such as Oracle Financials, Project
Accounting, Alesco HRM, Jade SMS, UniOrder, UniMarket, TMA, Anfield,
JobTrack, etc.
As a services organisation and business enabler, we can be successful only by making our clients successful in front of their customers; hence, we measure our performance by the contribution that we bring to our clients' success.
Our mission statement, service offering and values are outlined in the team charter depicted above.
Our strategic goals
- To support the University of Waikato's strategy by providing relevant and reliable information at the point of need in a timely manner that allows University staff to make informed decisions.
- To support the key University's business processes for efficient and effective management of its information assets.
- To promote an integrated information lifecycle University-wide.
- To be recognised by all Faculties and Divisions as preferred business partner who brings a significant contribution to the success of its clients.
- To leverage off the synergies facilitated by the federated business model, uniting ISG and other development teams throughout the University into a cohesive technology services community, and leveraging off one another's skills and resources.
- To be recognised by other universities, public and private sector for leadership in IS service provisioning.
- To be recognised as employer of choice in the ICT industry in New Zealand.
