Camera Equipment Loan Policy

Hours for loaning and returning equipment are Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm. We can be contacted on ext 5000, or 07 858 5000 or mailto:itsttg@waikato.ac.nz
Blue Card
Students & Staff must sign a 'Blue Card' in order to borrow equipment. By signing the card you agree to the following:
'I accept the equipment listed is in good order and condition. I understand that the equipment is not fully insured under the terms of current insurance policies, and that I am fully responsible for payment of costs incurred through loss or damage.'
The card must be Co-Signed by the course lecturer to authorise you to use our equipment for their course.
Screen & Media Students
All Screen and Media students must comply with the regulations set down in the 'ITS Screen & Media Production Handbook'. the Safety on Set hand out and test must be completed before any equipment issue.
Loan Periods
Equipment availability is subject to demand, and we reserve the right to recall any equipment at any time. Cameras and accessory equipment are available:
- Weekdays 8.30 to 4.30
- Weeknights 4.30 to 8.30 the following morning
- Weekends 4.30 Friday to 8.30 Monday
- Late returns will be fined
- Late collections may result in bookings being cancelled
This equipment is available for course related work only. You must not receive any form of financial compensation for work done with our equipment.
Please inform us as soon as possible of any fault with the equipment.
