Campus Computers IT procurement co-ordinates the purchase of IT hardware, software and related products and services for the University of Waikato.
It is our aim to lower the cost of procuring and maintaining IT equipment for University use.
We do this by:
- Providing an effective centralised purchasing operation for University staff and suppliers,
- Adopting standards for quality IT products and services,
- Negotiating with suppliers to consolidate corporate buying power for campus-wide discounts,
- Providing consultancy and advice to computer support and departmental purchasing staff as and when requested or required for major University IT purchases,
- Negotiating campus-wide or multi-institutional software licensing agreements,
- Providing an on-campus repair service for University hardware
through the Campus Computers Workshop,
- Developing efficient and timely processes relating to product procurement.
